I love the staff’s friendliness and the quietness of the place, as well as the kitty who is always hanging around. My favourite place to study and read how interesting the book sections are. I also like that they have implemented chairs in different parts of the floor to be able to read and the bathroom is very clean.
Beautiful creative bookshop full of art, design, culture oriented books, housed on 2 floors, with checkerboard terrazzo floors, and fresco painted vaulted ceilings. Check out the second floor cafe area for caffé and pasticcini and a few small tables to sit at.
This place is really a gem in rome.. beautiful interior friendly staff and decent book collection and they even have a cafe inside.. you should really check it out
A delightful old-school bookstore-cum-cafe in a beautiful historic building. On level 1, we were greeted by the delightful Daniel, who runs the bookstore, clearly loves books and was incredibly hospitable and friendly. On level 2 is another wonderful Daniel who runs the bar (cafe), and was incredibly passionate about his coffee and his artisanal chocolates and candies and generously gave us many free samples to try. On level 3 are some marvelous frescoes in vaulted ceilings, dating back to the late renaissance period, when the building was the home of a cardinal. Rome is full of marvelous historical sights but they will be forgotten, and ultimately it's the warm and wonderful people like Daniel and Daniel whom we will always remember.
