Amazing book store with a rare and unique venue. The theater converted to a bookstore is a brilliant adaptive reuse of a historic landmark. Amazing vibe and great environment in a beautiful city. Well worth the stop.

Wonderful, but too less booked in english or other languages. Good amount of books and interesting topics. The Café is good and the alfajores are delicious from Havanna, but not cheap. Entry to the Ateneo Grand Splendid is for free. Highly recommended

From the moment you step inside, the charm of this bookstore is unmistakable. The intricate roof frescos immediately capture your attention, setting a tone of elegance and artistic flair. As you walk through the aisles, you can’t help but appreciate the thoughtfully designed layout that makes exploring the vast collection of books a delightful experience. Every corner of this bookstore seems to offer something unique and exceptional, from the carefully curated displays to the cozy reading nooks tucked away in quiet corners. One of the highlights of this place is the charming coffee shop nestled within the bookstore. It provides a perfect spot to unwind with a cup of coffee and dive into a good book. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the scent of new books, creating an atmosphere that is both relaxing and invigorating. In terms of book selection, I found it quite satisfying. I was able to locate three out of the five books I had on my list, which speaks to the store's extensive and well-chosen inventory. Although I did not find every book I was looking for, the experience of searching through such a beautiful and well-organized space made up for it.While it might not be the cheapest bookstore in town, the beauty and overall experience it offers are unparalleled. The aesthetic appeal, combined with the quality of service, makes it a place worth visiting. Whether you're a book lover, an art enthusiast, or simply looking for a serene place to spend some time, this bookstore is sure to impress.

Worth the visit. Even if you are not getting a book. I was tempted to get an ultimate Mafalda collection but if I were to buy it it would have eaten up my luggage allowance weight. Is no kidding, you could kill someone with that book.

A genuinely beautiful library. Five levels of bookshelves to get lost in; only to then sit down at the cafe inside to read whatever you've picked up. Not to mention the cushions set up for you to plump down and immerse yourself in a bit of quiet. Without a doubt one of the best libraries you'll come across in Argentina.
