I love the concept, but as soon as we went down to the bar (and we were the only people there at 6pm) someone started playing the piano at full volume. Ear-bleedingly loud, and way too much for an empty bar at the start of the evening.
What an amazing place. We found some great books and a few gifts to take home, but my personal favorite part was the downstairs bar. We happened to be there the night there was an Italian blues band playing and they killed it. This is on my list for my next trip to Rome.
Altroquando Book Store has a large underground public house for drinks and entertainment.
The selection is often from independent authors and mostly Italian, some taschen et al mixed in for good measure makes thins fun place to hang out, read, drink, talk until late!!!
Amazing bookstore, with really unique selection of books (not just the best sellers). Has a large selection of very beautiful and interesting graphic novels as well, so great for non-Italian speakers.
